Allegany County: Crandall to run for state senate to replace Young

We learned recently that veteran state senator Cathy Young of Olean was calling it quits. Young said in a statement that she had accepted a job with Cornell University. As New York drives toward a new budget - there is no one to represent the district...no voice. Curt Crandall is the chair of the Allegany County Legislature. He confirmed this afternoon with Wellsville Regional News that he is circulating petitions for the job. "My hat is in the ring," Crandall told us. He said it is his 'goal.'
