Bomb threat unfounded at Cuba school

Dear parents and community,

Today the middle school high school received an anonymous bomb threat which forced us to evacuate the building to the elementary.
I am very proud of our staff and students because they remain calm and were able to follow evacuation procedures in place.
As always, we feel the obligation to secure your children our top priority before we can reach out to everyone. However we will always post first on our webpage because it can be accessed remotely.  Our Robo call failed to work properly, we believe it is related to the actions we took at the building level in the middle school high school. For that reason, the webpage is the best place to go for the latest information.
Dismissal at the elementary took place on schedule and no different than normal. It did have more supervision particularly for the walkers.  The middle school high school students were dismissed as well. Our bus routes are up and running and walkers were able to go home.
We have been cleared by the State Police and the Cuba Police. So at this time we’re transporting student drivers up to the middle school high school to retrieve their vehicles.
There are no after school or evening activities today.
