Salamanca man pleads guilty to manslaughter, vehicular manslaughter, negligent homicide in crash that kills woman

A 22-year-old Salamanca man has pleaded guilty to manslaughter and vehicular manslaughter after the vehicle he was driving last November crashed, killing a passenger. District Attorney Lori Rieman said Damion Taylor also entered guilty pleas to five other charges in Cattaraugus County court this week to include criminally negligent homicide. The alcohol-fueled crash on Old Route 17 in Salamanca caused the death of 21-year-old Alexandrea Kindt, also of Salamanca. She died when the car slammed into a tree and she was ejected from the vehicle. The DA says Taylor then fled the scene and went to a party. He later turned himself in. Two other men were also in the vehicle when it crashed…one was hurt. Taylor remains in the Cattaraugus County jail. He’ll be sentenced October 15th.
