Silver Springs man charged in hit and run personal injury crash
Justin R. Bodine, 31 of Silver Springs, was arrested after
leaving the scene of a personal injury accident which occurred at 12:45a.m. on
December 8, 2017. Wyoming County
Deputies said Bodine was operating his 2006 Chevrolet Silverado northbound on
State Route 19A in the Town of Genesee Falls when he failed to negotiate a
curve correctly and struck an oncoming vehicle.
The collision caused the operator of the vehicle to sustain an arm
injury. Bodine drove the vehicle from
the scene without stopping to check on the other vehicle. While Wyoming County Sheriff’s Deputies were
investigating this accident, a second report of a hit and run motor vehicle
accident was reported in the Village of Silver Springs. Bodine was allegedly driving the same vehicle
on Ribaud Avenue in the Village of Silver Springs when he drove the pickup
truck into a vacant house. Bodine again
left the scene on foot. Vehicle parts at
the scene on State Route 19A in Genesee Falls determined Bodine’s vehicle was
involved in both collisions.
