Cattaraugus County man pleads not guilty in vehicle crash that kills mother
In Cattaraugus County court Monday, Andrew J. Armbruster, 30, of East Otto pleaded not guilty to an indictment that charges him
with Manslaughter, Second Degree, Vehicular Manslaughter, Second Degree,
Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Criminal Mischief, Fourth Degree,
Reckless Driving, and Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign. The case has now been adjourned for motions. Prosecutors allege that Armsbruster was driving at a high rate of speed, while drug-impaired and districted by a cell phone, when he ran a stop sign on a slippery road and slammed into a tractor trailer. His mother, Grace, was killed.
