Perry: Special blood drive held in memory of Jenna Borek

Family and friends of Jenna Borek are asking residents of Perry and surrounding communities to donate blood at a special blood drive in Jenna’s memory on Friday, June 9 at the Perry Fireman’s Recreation Hall on Lake Street.
In March of 2015, Jenna sustained several serious injuries when a tractor trailer struck her car.  Jenna received more than 100 units of donated blood while she was fighting for her life.
Jenna’s loved ones hope helping other patients in need of blood will keep Jenna’s memory and giving spirit alive.
In her short 21 years of life, Jenna became a remarkable role model in her community, and touched the lives of many in need. She was a 2014 Summa Cum Laude graduate of SUNY Brockport with dual degrees in Spanish and English.  Jenna always had a desire to help others and made several missionary trips to the Dominican Republic to help those in need.  She was also a youth group leader, a volunteer at the Perry Elementary School, and a member of the Animal Society for the Prevention and Cruelty to Animals.  She worked at the Oak Orchard Community Health Center and had received a promotion just before the accident.
