Allegany County: Sales tax revenue still lags behind last year

The revenue that Allegany County has collected from sales tax this year still lags behind what was collected to this date last year. Members of the Allegany County legislative budget committee will be updated June 21st when they meet. The shortfall isn't significant...in fact it's less than $59,000. The best corrective solution? BUY LOCALLY (enter the Walmart comments!). Seriously...there are some items you just can't purchase in Allegany County. I needed a new Davis Pro Weather Station. Can't get it locally...but many, many items you can. Just saying...when you can, buy it locally. If you can't...you can't.
