A Cattaraugus County man has pleaded guilty to vehicular
manslaughter stemming from a motorcycle crash that killed his wife. 53-year-old
Michael Baker of Machias also pleaded guilty to aggravated DWI. Prosecutors
said Baker was drunk when he lost control of the motorcycle. His wife Dianne
died at the scene. Baker suffered severe injuries. Police said his blood
alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit at the time. He’ll be
sentenced August 7th.
