Wyoming County Sheriff's Blotter

Michael W. Smith, 48, of Warsaw was arrested after a check on a motorist that had pulled over to the side of the road. Smith had pulled his vehicle over to the side of Suckerbook Road in the Town of Perry when a Sheriff’s Deputy pulled up next to him to see if everything was okay. Following a quick conversation and alleged signs of intoxication, Deputy Chase had Smith exit the vehicle and perform standardized field sobriety testing. Smith was subsequently arrested at for DWI and was  transported to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office. Smith submitted to the breath chemical test which revealed a blood alcohol content of 0.33%, more than 4 times the legal limit. Smith was charged with uninspected motor vehicle, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, driving while intoxicated, and aggravated driving while intoxicated with a BAC of .18 or more. Smith was released to the care of a third party and will return to the Town of Perry Court on 3/1/2017.

Shannon McDonald, 39, was charged by the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Social Services with Non-Support of a Child 2nd , for allegedly continuously failing to make regular court ordered child support payments although he was employed during this time.  He was charged with one count for a case in which he owes $4,595.94 and charged another count for a case in which he owes $25,561.56.  He was arraigned in the Town of Warsaw Court and bail was set before being placed in the Wyoming County Jail.
