Wellsville: Radio station plans bridal show
If a wedding is in your future, then you should plan on attending the WZKZ/KZ 102 Bridal Show Saturday February 25. The event, now in its 17th year, will be held from 11a.m.-1 p.m. at the Wellsville Country Club. The show is being presented by WZKZ radio/KZ 102 in Wellsville. Station General Manager Rod Biehler said this morning that the show typically draws in between 75 and 100 people. "It's an opportunity for brides to see what is offered, locally" Biehler said. There will be 14 vendors present at this years show...including three new vendors.
According to Biehler, Angel Gowns, a not for profit specialty shop from Buffalo will be on hand offering gowns for as little as a $50 donation. Also new this year is Knights Creek Photography and Two Ladies and a Party, a business that helps decorate the wedding venue. Others vendors include:
- Angelica Ink Letterpress
- Cline's tent Rentals
- LaGra Salon & Day Spa
- Harts Jewelry
- Jazzy J. Productions (DJ service)
- Michael Cook State Farm Insurance
- Pam Forshee-An Event To Remember (flowers)
- Roxanne's Bridal Paradise from Bolivar
- Tops Friendly Market (cakes)
- Walker Metalsmiths
- Wellsville Country Club.
Biehler admits, the station couldn't pull the event off without the help of the Wellsville Country Club. He also said that 'back in the day,' bridal shops dotted the landscape. But, he said, those shops have disappeared except for Roxanne's, which is why this event has significance. Biehler said the most common comment from those who attend is that they are just happy that there is a show that promotes, for the most part, local services. The show is free and there is no registration required. Just show up, browse, ask questions and sign up for the door prizes!
