NY State Police Blotter

2/7/17 12:58pm- State police arrested Brian Treusdell, 33 of Belfast. He was charged with felony 2nd degree burlary. Troopers said the alleged crime occurred in Caneadea in September 2014. He was released on his own recognizance.
2/7/17 6:40pm- State police arrested Tonya Armstrong, 35 of Wellsville. She was charged with making a false written statement and harassment with physical contact. Police said the charges stem from an incident in the Town of Scio January 29, 2017. She was released on appearance tickets for court.
2/7/17 6:59pm- Troopers report the arrest of Paul E. Tyler, 30 of Olean. He was charged with felony criminal possession of stolen property valued at more than $3,000. The alleged crime happened in the Town of Olean in October 2016. Tyler was released on his own recognizance.
2/7/17 12:13pm- A personal injury crash in Bath has resulted in a felony charge for an Avoca man. State police said 21-year-old Robert Straight was charged with 1st degree reckless endangerment. He was released on his own recognizance. 
2/7/17 3:05pm- A Steuben County man, accused of a violent sex crime, was jailed Tuesday afternoon. State police said 39-year-old Anthony Briggs of Painted Post was charged with felony 1st degree rape with forcible compulsion and felony criminal sex act by force. The alleged crime occurred Monday in Erwin. Bail for Briggs was set at $5,000.
