Cuba man arrested three times in ten days


On November 8, 2017 at approximately 10:00 a.m., Shawn E. Roney, 24, of Cuba was arrested by the Cuba Police Department after an investigation into a residential burglary. Roney was charged with felony burglary 2nd and misdemeanor criminal possession of stolen property. He was processed and arraigned in town court and released to appear at a later date. Also on November 8th, Roney was arrested after an investigation into a vehicle break-in. He was charged with petit larceny after he allegedly entered another person’s vehicle and removed a stereo. He was arraigned and released. Then on November 17th at approximately 1:00 a.m. Roney was arrested…again. This time it involved a domestic dispute. He was charged with Assault 3rd (misdemeanor). Roney was again arraigned and released. Cuba Police Chief Dustin Burch added that Roney is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
