Woman arrested after violent crime in Ulysses, PA

A 43-year-old woman is in Potter County jail this morning after she allegedly committed a violent crime Thursday in the Borough. Billy Jo Smith of Ulysses, was charged by Pennsylvania State Police with felony aggravated assault. She was also charged with the misdemeanor counts of possessing and instrument of a crime, making terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangering another person and the summary offense of harassment with physical contact.
Smith was arraigned at 12:35 a.m. today before District Judge Delores Weiss. Smith was remanded to the Potter County Jail on 10% of $100,000 bail. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for September 5th at 1 p.m.
