ALFRED, NY—Alfred University’s annual pumpkin carving and decorating contest was held Thursday evening along Main Street in the Village of Alfred. The event is a collaboration between Alfred Art Walk and the University’s Student Activities board.
First-year student Bree Borgosz took home first-place honors in the event with a pumpkin that also won the prize for most creative and scariest.
Additional winners in categories and overall rankings include:
· Best dressed and third place: Natalia Norris
· ‘Made the Cut’ and second place: Rosie Gregg
· Best community pumpkin: Cecilia Sherwood
· Funniest Pumpkin: Anna Gwozdz and Emily Sinatra
