Born December 10, 1934, in Greenwood, he was the son of
George and Ina McCormick Burdick. A
graduate of Greenwood High School, Merle spent most of his life farming in
South Dansville at Lander’s Farm.
Surviving are: a
niece, Pamela (John Stratton) Foster of Wellsville; a nephew, John (Jodi) Osmin of Arkport; a sister, Mary Micglire of Clifton
Springs; and several other nieces and
nephews. In addition to his parents, he
was predeceased by four siblings, Ruth Burdick, Francis Griffin, Ellen Burdick,
and Gertrude Faulkner.
Cremation was at Olney-Foust Crematory. Private burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
