Carol Mae Corbett, 91, of Auburndale, FL, died Wednesday,
August 12, 2020 in her home.
Born January 24, 1929, in New Castle, PA, she was the
daughter of Benjamin and Belle Thompson Watkins. On June 24, 1950, in Johnson
City, NY, she married Lavernon Gene Corbett, who predeceased her on February 1,
2003. A graduate of Practical Bible College in Johnson City, NY, she and her
husband served as missionaries with Baptist Mid-Missions in West Africa and
across the USA church planting. Carol Mae was a member of Faith Baptist Church
in Winterhaven, FL.
Surviving are: nine children, Roxanna (Brian) Dickinson of
Auburndale, Drue (Evelyn) Corbett of Louisville, KY, Daurolyn Poitras of Largo,
FL, Luke (Lorraine) Corbett of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, Lael Corbett of Old
Town, FL, Dathan (Lou Ann) Corbett of Bath, NY, Sola Prince of Syracuse, NY,
Orin Corbett of St. Petersburg, FL, and Tenny (Tami) Corbett of Jackson, MI; 34
grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was
predeceased by a daughter, Melody Tintle; a granddaughter, Talitha Corbett; and
five brothers.
A private graveside service will be held in Hill Cemetery,
