PRESS RELEASE
Adults arguing at Little League Baseball game
On Wednesday evening August 12th, Steuben County 911 dispatched the New York State Police to the Town of Erwin for the report of an altercation between parents at a little league baseball game. When police arrived at the field, the game had ended, and police saw the parents still arguing so they were separated by police. The victim stated that Christie Speciale, age 36 of Corning, charged towards her from the outfield to the first base line and was threatening her and shoving her to the point that she had no more room to move. Another parent called 911 requesting the police come to the field. The victim asked police to arrest Speciale for harassment. Speciale was uncooperative with police but was arrested for Harassment and issued an appearance ticket to the Town of Erwin Court at a later date. All parties were advised by police to have no more contact.
