Allegany County Departmebt Heads told to stop unplanned spending immediately

Allegany County department heads need to rein in unnecessary spending-for the rest of the year…that was the order of the Legislature Monday afternoon. The coronavirus has hit the revenue stream of Allegany County and has also prompted unplanned spending. In a unanimous vote, the legislature ordered department heads to immediately stop any unnecessary spending. The resolution takes effect immediately.
