COVID-19 forces staffing cuts at Corning Community College

Staffing reductions are hitting Corning Community College. While making generic statements, officials said some jobs will be eliminated while others would experience a reduction in hours. COVID-19 was listed as the reason for the reductions. Meanwhile, the College’s Fall 2020 plan has been approved by the State University of New York (SUNY) and addresses New York State Phase Four Reopening.  The College will provide students, employees, partners, and visitors the safety, quality programming, flexibility, and student support needed as they restart on campus operations. Fall classes will begin on August 17.
