WHARTON, Pa.---Charles G. “Charlie” Sinnamond, 78, of Wharton, PA, passed away at home with his loving wife and family by his side on Tuesday, December 31, 2019, after a brief illness.
Charlie was born in Mount Pleasant, PA to Charles T. &
Marybelle Thomas Sinnamond on August 06, 1941. He graduated from Elders Ridge
High School in 1959. It is there where he met his wife of 58 years, Daleen R.
Masisak Sinnamond. They were married on March 25, 1961 in Virginia.
He was a self-employed logger and operated his own sawmill
for many years. Charlie and his wife owned and operated the Wharton General
Store for 13 years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. He was a past
member of East Fork Sportsman’s Club. Later in life he found a love of cooking
as well as feeding and watching wildlife.
He is survived by his loving wife, Daleen; one son, Chuck
(Judy) Sinnamond of Wharton, PA; two daughters, Kim Sinnamond of Emporium, PA
and MaryAnne Evans of Kansas City, MO; two sisters, Bonnie Rearick of Shelocta,
PA and Kathy Sinnamond; ten grandchildren, Erika (Carl) Brown of Emporium, PA,
Chris Artman of Emporium, PA, Courtney (Luke) Nelson of Omaha, NE, Christina
(Rory) Bowen of Kansas City, MO, Dale (Kendal) Evans of Kansas City, MO,
Melissa (Andrew) Bothell of Wharton, PA, Roselynn Evans of Carmichaels, PA,
Chip (Allie) Sinnamond of Coudersport, PA, Adam Artman of Emporium, PA, and
Emily Evans of Kansas City, MO; and 15 great grandchildren with another great
grandson on the way.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents.
By keeping with the family’s wishes there will be no
visitation or funeral services.
In lieu flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the
donor’s choice.
Charlie’s family has entrusted his care and cremation
arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L.
Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
