Allegany County: Family says "Our lives were thrown into turmoil"

A Friendship family continues to express its frustration with the Allegany County Industrial Development Agency. They issued the following statement:

STATEMENT TO PRESS / COURT
We are private citizens who work & reside in Allegany County, NY.  We believe in and enjoy our privacy and the Rights & Freedoms given to us by the NY state & the US Constitutions. Our lives were thrown into turmoil by the Allegany County Industrial Development Agency (ACIDA) & the many agents acting on their behalf. We did not ask for this fight.
Our Historical home, with all its allowances, was here before the state highway & now County Road. When the horse & buggy tread this trail, tenants hauled buckets of water from our homes artesian well. Travelers filled their containers with its cold, clear, & clean water to quench their thirsts, as well as their horses, on that long journey ahead. As custodians of our home; we are responsible to maintain every square inch of property as the many families before us have and for those who may be fortunate enough to come in the future. We will exercise any and all rights and privilege to ensure nothing is taken from us or this property.
We believe in and desire for economic growth; and understand sacrifices have to made for that growth to happen. We do not feel we should give up any hard-earned personal property without due process; upon dubious speculation, or under threat by any Government, offering no concessions or appropriate compensation. Our laws are based on these principals. It is our duty to defend them.
