John H. Foust 77, of Coudersport, PA, died Wednesday,
September 4, 2019 in UPMC Cole, Coudersport.
Born July 19, 1942, in Coudersport, he was the son of Harry and Goldina
McCracken Foust. A US Army Veteran, he
served honorably from 1959 – 1962. He
was an MP in Germany. On June 21, 1980,
in Coudersport, he married the former Lana L. Mitchell, who survives. He was
employed as a supervisor by Pure Carbon in Coudersport for over 24 years. John then went to barber school and owned and
operated John’s Barber Shop until his retirement. He was a member of American Legion Potter
Post #192 in Coudersport. Surviving
besides his wife, Lana, are: five
children, Gary (Sheila) Foust of Coudersport, Brian (Mike Bagley) Foust of Port
Allegany, Dawn (Randy) Gee of Coudersport, Wendy Little of Coudersport, and
Robert (Brian Hoover) Foust, Tampa, FL;
six grandchildren, Trevor John Foust, Elizabeth Burd, McKenna Gee, Dylan
(Katie Jo) Foust, David Burd, and Alexander Burd; a great-grandson, Keegan Gockley; a brother, Joseph (Sandy) Foust of
Coudersport; his mother-in-law, Mary
Mitchell of Coudersport; nieces and
nephews. He was predeceased by five
brothers, Harry Foust, Walter Foust, Tom Foust, Ed Foust, and Wayne Foust; and
a sister, Verna L. Sevinsky. Services
will be private. Military Rites will be
accorded by members of the Potter County Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to UPMC Cole Skilled
