McKean County, PA: Kane man attacks woman with circular saw

A Kane man was remanded to McKean County Jail this morning after he allegedly assaulted a 24-year-old woman with a circular saw. The incident occurred on School Street. Lewis Run-based State Police arrested 35-year-old Josh Joseph Bodistow and charged him with felony aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct and harassment with physical contact. Arraigned today at 5:27 a.m. by Magisterial District Judge David Engman, Bodistow was committed to jail on $50,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for October 3rd. Troopers said Bodistow allegedly used the saw to cut the woman's left wrist. She was rushed to UPMC Kane for treatment. According to the public court summary, Bodistow has been arrested eight times since 2011. The previous charges range from DUI, fighting, criminal mischief and possession of drug paraphernalia.
