Allegany County: Fire damages sportsman clubhouse in Granger

A fire Sunday afternoon damaged the Dalton Gang Sportsman Clubhouse on Parker Road in the Town of Granger. The alarm sounded around 5 p.m. Firefighters from Short Tract, Fillmore, Wiscoy-Rossburg, Angelica and FAST Team 1 all responded. One of the first units to arrive told 911 there was "smoke showing." A nearby pond was also utilized to fight the blaze. Fire crews were on scene for more than an hour and fire investigators were called in to identify the cause and origin. County tax records show the log cabin was constructed in 1983. There were no initial reports of injuries.
