Potter County: Luce released from jail after posting $100,000 bond

The former Treasurer of the Genesee (PA) Fire and Ambulance service has been released from the Potter County Jail after he posted Surety Bonds in the amount of $100,000 on June 21st. Scott Andrew Luce, 35, of Main Street in Genesee is accused of stealing more than $93,000 from the volunteer agency. He is currently charged with 128 felony and misdemeanor counts.
In 2017 Luce avoided jail time in Allegany County when he was charged with stealing from the Independence Emergency Squad. A judge ordered him to make nearly $12,000 in restitution.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Wednesday, but the court pushed the hearing to July 23rd. Luce is being represented by attorney Jay David Carr of Olean.
