PennDOT - District 2 News: Section of Route 1017 in Potter County to Close for Pipe Work

​Ulysses, PA–  The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that pipe replacement work on Route 1017 (Pleasant Valley Road) in Harrison Township, Potter County, is scheduled to start Wednesday, July 24. The road will be closed between Flewellyn Road and Route 1019 (Whites Corners Road) from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM Wednesday, July 24 and Thursday, July 25. An official detour will be in place during the closure.
A new, larger pipe will replace two existing pipes that span North Branch near the intersection with Route 1019 (White Corners Road). Starting at 6:00 AM Wednesday, July 24, motorists will follow an official detour using Flewellyn Road, Route 1016 (North Fork Road) and Route 1019 (Whites Corners Road). The road will reopen at 5:00 PM each day.
All work is weather and schedule dependent. All work will be done by PennDOT Potter County Maintenance.
The overall project involves excavation, removal of the existing pipes, placement of the new, larger pipe, backfilling and paving.
PennDOT reminds drivers to use caution in and around work zones, follow official detour signs, obey posted speed limits, and always buckle up.
