Allegany County: Legislators ready to appoint new Director for Office for the Aging

The Allegany County Legislature is prepared to appoint a new Director for the Office for the Aging. Lawmakers on Thursday will meet at the County Fair at 2 p.m. and when they do, they'll be asked to appoint Anita M. Mattison to the post. Her annual salary will be $60,000 and if approved, she'll start July 31st. During the session, legislators will also be asked to approved the acceptance of a $1,000 donation from Grace United Church in Wellsville for the Office for the Aging. The money has been earmarked for increased travel expenses for the Home Delivered Meals program. In other action, legislators will be asked to:
  • Create one full-time position of public health nurse in the Social Services department.
  • Create one full-time position of Tax Map Technician in the Real Property Services Department.
