Benefit for Andover police chief, battling cancer

Andover Ambulance in conjunction with Andover Fire and Wellsville Ambulance are hosting a benefit for Andover police chief Jim Rumfelt on Saturday, June 1. Jim has received a diagnosis of stage 3 colon cancer and is undergoing treatment.  
The fundraiser starts at 10:30 a.m. that day at the Andover Fire Hall. There is a corn hole tournament and registration starts at 10:30 at the fire hall. The cost for the tournament is $30/team and you must have your own partner. The tournament starts at noon. There is a 40% payout to the top two teams from the tournament. There is also a Chinese auction that starts at 10:30 with several large special items. Other events include a pulled pork take out dinner for $10 and serving will begin at noon. Tickets are available presale, which is preferred. Tickets are available from any Andover or Wellsville ambulance member or Andover fire. Andover Volunteer Ambulance will have tables set up at our facility for people to eat if they desire.
