Faye M. Starks, 70, of Allegany, NY, formerly of
Shinglehouse, PA, died Saturday, March 2, 2019 in Hart Comfort House,
Wellsville, NY. Born August 2, 1948, in
Harrison Valley, PA, she was the daughter of Mahlon and Gladys Schultz
Hauber. A graduate of Northern Potter
High School, she earned a degree as a medical office assistant from BOCES. She was employed by area nursing homes and
worked as a private caregiver. Faye
retired from St. Elizabeth’s motherhouse in 2015. She was married to Donald E. Starks, who
predeceased her in 1978. Surviving
are: seven children, Tamara Basilio of
Allegany, David (Mickie) Hauber of Beaver Meadows, PA, Donald Starks of
Bolivar, Mari (Garrett) Malone of Syracuse, Kimberly (Donald) Cunningham of
Wellsville, Robert Starks of Independence, MO, and Brandon (Jenn) Starks of
Gordon Park, PA; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Mahlon Gene (Pat) Hauber of
Elmira, NY, Raymond (Gretchen) Hauber of Harrison Valley, and Robert (Monica)
Hauber of North Bingham, PA; two
sisters, Shirley Mead of Westfield, PA and Mary Lou Van Etten of Harrison
Valley, PA; an aunt, Phyllis Moon of
Westfield, PA; nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she
was predeceased by two great-grandchildren, Liliana and A.J.; and two brothers,
Larry W. Hauber, Sr. and Bernard Hauber.
A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 2019 in
Mulholland-Crowell Funeral Home, Wellsville, NY. CLS Kathie Timpano will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery,
Wellsville. Memorials may be made to
