Probation ordered for Cuba drug dealer

A man accused of peddling drugs in Cuba won't be headed to prison. 41-year-old Albert Fountain was sentenced to serve five years probation in Allegany County court on Wednesday. He was first charged with multiple felony counts of criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance. Prosecutors said he held and sold Percocet. In court, he pleaded guilty to the attempted sale of the drug. The crimes occurred in the village of Bolivar. District Attorney Keith Slep prosecuted the case. Fountain was represented by J. R. Santana Carter of the Public Defender's office.
