ATV crash kills Coudersport man

A Coudersport man was fatally injured Wednesday afternoon in an ATV crash on Bowers Road in Allegany Township. Pennsylvania state police said the 4 p.m. crash claimed the life of 59-year-old Nelson C. Heller. According to Trooper Sierra Rose, Heller was traveling south on Bower Road near its intersection with Baker Creek Road when he lost control on loose gravel. Troopers said Heller, who wasn't wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, was ejected and "became entrapped underneath" the ATV. Potter County Coroner Kevin Dusenbury pronounced Heller dead at the scene.
