A joint investigation by the New York State Police Bureau of
Criminal Investigation (BCI) – Bath barracks, and the Steuben County Child
Protective Unit has resulted in the arrest on an Avoca man. According to State Police Investigator Thomas
Khork, on June 29, 2018, Lawrence E. Hough, age 51, of Avoca, N.Y. was charged with
one count of course of sexual conduct against a child in the 1st degree, a
class “A-II” felony.
The investigation revealed that over the course of several
years, Hough allegedly engaged in multiple acts of sexual conduct with three
separate victims, all under the age of 13.
Hough was arraigned at the town of Bath Court and remanded
to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail.
