At 12:42 a.m. Tuesday, Angelica firefighters were called to the Allegany County Fair for a reported fire. First responders said a food stand, located next to the horse barn, ignited. Fire crews knocked the flames down in short order. Belmont firefighters assisted.
This is a statement on Facebook from Angelica Fire and Rescue: At 12:42 a.m. the Angelica Fire Department and Rescue Squad along with Belmont and Belfast Fire Departments and District 3 FAST Team were dispatched to the County Fairgrounds for a reported structure fire/food stand fire near the horse barns. Upon the chiefs arrival it was confirmed a working fire with exposures to other structures and food stands. Angelica 1 was the first apparatus to respond and was on scene within 5 minutes of the initial dispatch. The interior firefighters were able to knock the fire down quickly and save the other nearby structures/stands.
