Hornell GOP endorses McAllister for Surrogate Court Judge

HORNELL -- Local support for Patrick McAllister’s candidacy for Steuben County Surrogate Court continues to grow, with the City of Hornell Republican Party recently endorsing his bid for the judgeship.
McAllister won the Sept. 12 GOP primary with a solid margin, 2,988 -2,665.
"The Hornell Republican Committee is proud to endorse Patrick McAllister for Steuben County Surrogate Court Judge,” said Hornell City Alderman Jessica Cleveland (Ward 6). “Pat has served our local area well as an attorney for over 35 years, most recently as the Steuben County Assistant District Attorney.
“Pat has demonstrated he has the experience, integrity, and hard work ethic that will be so valued in this position. We were pleased to see a well-run, grassroots campaign with Pat making many personal visits, knocking on doors and introducing himself to the residents in the Hornell community. It is clear Pat values the people of Steuben county, including the Hornell community, and we are proud to provide him with our endorsement." A former Steuben County legislator, McAllister also has worked for municipalities and school districts and maintains a private practice.
His work in Steuben’s Surrogate Court includes the probate and administration of estates and all aspects of guardianship proceedings and adoptions. He also has experience in felony matters and Family Court, where he has represented hundreds of children.
McAllister looks to fill the vacancy left by county Judge Marianne Furfure, who will retire after 20 years on the bench.
