Belmont man jailed in Tioga County, PA

Pennsylvania State Police arrested a Belmont man during a traffic stop at 9:20 p.m. Wednesday on Route 6 in Richmond Township. Trooper charged Andrew P. Kanvik, 55, with DUI, driving without a license, disregard traffic lane, careless driving and license suspend/revoked. He was arraigned Thursday morning at 8:30 a.m. in District Court. He was remanded to Tigoa County Jail when he couldn't post $7,500 bail. A preliminary court hearing has been scheduled for later this month.
