On June 3, 2017, Troopers arrested Marcy K. Empson, 36, of Scio, NY for Driving While Intoxicated.Troopers responded to a 2-car accident in the parking lot of Crosby's service station in the Town of Amity involving a truck that had backed into a parked car. Upon interviewing the operator of the truck, the odor of an alcoholic beverage was allegedly detected. Standard Field Sobriety Tests were conducted which, according to a press release, Empson subsequently failed. She was arrested for DWI and unsafe backing and transported to SP Amity for processing where she recorded a 0.12% BAC. She was released on tickets and is due in the Town of Amity Court on 6/7/17 at 7:00 p.m.
