Fillmore woman gets break on felony charge

A Fillmore woman who has faced felony charges took a deal last week in Allegany County court. Jennifer M. Palmer, 33, of Minard Street had been charged last summer with grand larceny and identity theft following the incident in Hume. In court, Palmer pleaded guilty to petit larceny. Prosecutors said she used another persons personal debit card without permission to rack up charges totaling $1,099.99. Since her indictment, Palmer has made full restitution. Judge Thomas Brown sentenced the woman to a one year conditional discharge. The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Thomas Fuoco. Palmer was represented by Public Defender Barbara Kelley.
