Allegany, Wyoming county suspects charged with heroin possession

Ruth M. O’Connor, 37, Caneadea, NY
Dayton C. Ewell, 25, Bliss, NY
Tami A. Unterburger, 21,  Bliss, NY
Four individuals were arrested following a traffic stop on State Route 362 in the Town of Wethersfield.  Wyoming County Sheriff’s Deputies performed a traffic stop on State Route 362 for a vehicle that was observed weaving into the oncoming lane.  During the traffic stop deputies allegedly recovered three glassine bags containing heroin, nine glassine bags with heroin residue, two used hypodermic syringes, seven unused hypodermic syringes, and other miscellaneous drug paraphernalia items.  Nicholas A. O’Connor, Ruth M. O’Connor, Dayton C. Ewell, and Tami A. Unterburger were all arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, Criminal Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument, and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree.  Ruth M. O’Connor, the driver, was also issued a traffic ticket for Failure to Keep Right.  All four perpetrators were processed at the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office before being released to a sober third party.  They were scheduled to answer the charges on June 6, 2017 in the Town of Wethersfield Court.
