HOUGHTON, NY - April 7, 2017 - The Ortlip Gallery at Houghton College will host its annual Senior Exhibition that will showcase work by 12 graduating seniors, on display from April 18th - May 13th, 2017. The exhibition reception will be held on April 21 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Ortlip Gallery in the Center for Fine Arts. This event is free and open to the public.
Serving as the capstone project for students in the college’s art program, the exhibition allows participants to delve into their preferred media, demonstrating their unique skills and visions. “This public exhibit is an opportunity for students to display the body of work they have spent their final year of study developing,” says Alicia Taylor, director of exhibitions and assistant professor of art at Houghton.
This year’s display will include paintings, drawings, photography, collages, digital designs, books, ceramics, sculptures, and mixed media. Each student will be introduced and recognized at the reception event.
