Belfast man indicted for several burglaries

An Allegany County Grand Jury on Wednesday handed up indicted against Mark L. Burlingame, 27, of King Street in Belfast. He was charged with six felony counts of burglary and making a false statement. According to prosecutors, Burlingame allegedly broke into a restaurant and chain saw store. He also allegedly stole money from roadside produce stands and gave a false statement to troopers. The alleged crimes occurred in July and August 2016 in the towns of Rushford, Amity, Caneadea and New Hudson.
