Born March 31, 1952 in Coudersport, she was a daughter of
LaVerne C. and Ruth E. Manning Major. In
Austin, she married Richard K. “Dick” Wold, who survives.
Vicki was a graduate of Austin High School. At the time of her death, she was employed at
the Potter Leader-Enterprise in Coudersport as a mailroom foreman and proof
reader. She was also employed as a
steward for the Austin Vet’s Club and also was employed at Big Mike’s Dairy
Dine in Austin. She had formerly been
employed at Emporium Specialties in Austin and at Galeton Production in
Galeton.
Vicki was a member of the Austin VFW Post 7810 Ladies
Auxiliary and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post 192 in
Coudersport. She enjoyed bowling and
playing darts.
Surviving besides her husband are four stepchildren, Tammi
(Mark) Smith of Port St. Lucy, Florida, Sandi (Pastor Steve) Patrick of Olean,
NY, Beth (Dan) Straton of Monroe Falls, Ohio, and Marty (Lauren) Wold of
Austin, Texas; six step-grandchildren; two sisters, Judy (Skip) Snyder of
Coudersport and Peggy (Simon) Pease of Reynoldsville; a brother, Jimmy (Sandy)
Major of Kersey; her stepmother, Doris Major of Port Allegany; a half-brother,
Jeff Major of Port Allegany; eight stepbrothers and stepsisters; and several
nieces and nephews.
Vicki was predeceased by her parents.
Family and friends are invited to call from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on
Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Austin Vet’s Club for a time of fellowship
and remembrance.
