6/3/25 1:28 p.m. – On January 23, state police
investigated a larceny in the town of Rushford. On Tuesday troopers arrested James O.
Gwise, 30, of Delevan. He was charged with felony second-degree grand larceny
involving property valued in excess of $50,000. He was taken to the county jail
for Central arraignment. In a separate case, Machias-based state police charged Gwise with
Enterprise Corruption involving criminal activity. That charge is a class B
felony. The second count stemmed from an incident May 21 in the town of
Allegany.
