Charges: Attempted Murder of a Police Officer (2 counts);

Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer (2 counts);

Menacing a Police Officer (2 counts);

Grand Larceny 4th;

Proceedings:  An Allegany County grand jury has indicted Julia C. Groff on ten (10) total counts, including two (2) top counts of Attempted Murder of a Police Officer.  This indictment follows the widely publicized incident in Bolivar that occurred on May 17th, which resulted in two New York State Troopers sustaining stab wounds.  Groff continues to be remanded to the Allegany County Jail without bail and will be arraigned on this indictment in Allegany County Court on Wednesday, June 25th. 

Prosecuting Attorney:  Ian M. Jones, District Attorney     

Previous WRN report: Groff is accused of stealing a vehicle and then violently attacking and stabbing two troopers. State police did fire their duty weapon, but did not strike the woman One of the troopers is listed in serious condition at Strong Memorial in Rochester.

According to the Alegany County Jail, Groff remains in the Allegany County Jail, held without bail.
