Jones Memorial Hospital is excited to welcome Karan Ramakrishna, MD to the Oncology & Hematology department in the UR Medicine Wilmot Cancer Institute, part of Jones Memorial Hospital, in Wellsville and Olean.
Dr. Ramakrishna received his medical degree at St John’s Medical College in India and did his internal medicine residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University. He completed a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at the University of Minnesota Medical School. Dr. Ramakrishna is an assistant professor of clinical medicine in the department of Medicine, Hematology and Oncology. He is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and board eligible in hematology and oncology.

When Dr. Ramakrishna isn’t seeing patients and serving his community as a volunteer, he can be found hiking, studying medieval Indian history or enjoying world cinema and science fiction.
