Town of Wellsville publishes bid invitation for new highway building/town hall

 

INVITATION TO BID 

       The Town of Wellsville invites bids for the installation of foundations for a pole barn type structure to house a Town Highway Garage and Town Hall. The Building will be erected by students from the Alfred State College School of Applied Technology – Building Trades on a lot at 24 West Hanover Street, Wellsville, NY.

 

       Sealed bids labeled "TOWN HIGHWAY GARAGE/TOWN HALL POLE BUILDING FOUNDATIONS" will be received by the Town of Wellsville, 2600 Tarantine Blvd., Wellsville, New York 14895 (Wellsville Municipal Airport) on Friday February 5, 2021 until 3:00 p.m. at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

 

       Copies of the Contract Documents may be examined free of charge at the following location during regular business hours:

       Electronic Copies of the above documents may be obtained free of charge from the engineer. 

       Statement of Non‑Collusion:  Bidders on the contracts are required to execute a non‑collusive bidding certificate pursuant to Section 103d of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York.

 

       Sales and Use of Tax Exemptions:  The Town of Wellsville is exempt from the payment of sales and compensation use taxes of the State of New York and of cities and counties on all materials, equipment, and supplies sold to the District pursuant to this contract. Also exempt from such taxes are purchases by the supplier of materials, equipment, and supplies to be sold to the District pursuant to this contract. These taxes are not to be included in the Bid.

 

       All bids shall be binding for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date. The Town of Wellsville reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities therein.
