BATH -- Eligible seniors in Steuben County may call the county Office For the Aging at (607) 664-2322 to receive a 30-meal box of shelf-stable food supplied by the Food Bank of the Southern Tier.
Steuben RSVP Coordinator Christine Towner said county residents 60 years old and older may receive one box per household, delivered by volunteers following all social distancing protocols.
Boxes may contain such items as dried beans or lentils, pasta, rice, shelf-stable milk, canned fruits and vegetables, canned tuna and chicken, and dried fruit, Towner said. For more information or to request a box call (607) 664-2322 and leave a message. Calls will be returned by county Office For the Aging staff.
Anyone under 60 in need of food supplies may call Catholic Charities at (607) 776-4575 or their local food pantry.
Those interested in volunteering to deliver food boxes, may contact Towner at CTowner@SteubenCountyNY.gov for more information.
