Hildegard G. “Hilde” Vercelletto, nee Paul, 90, of
Coudersport, PA, formerly of Shinglehouse, PA and Long Island, NY, died
Thursday, April 30, 2020 in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport.
She was born August 28, 1929 in Frankfurt, Germany. Having had many careers, Hilde most enjoyed
helping others and sharing stories and her cooking with everyone she met.
Surviving are: a
sister, Charlotte “Lotti” Schmetz of Frankfurt, Germany; step-children, Debra Buser of Langhorne, PA
and John (Christina) Vercelletto of Babylon, NY; a sister-in-law, Judy (Conny) Brown of
Coudersport; a brother-in-law, Arthur
(Delores) Vercelletto of Freeport, NY;
and many nieces and nephews in the United States and Germany. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry
Vercelletto; a brother; and a brother-in-law, Helmut Schmetz. Services will be private. Burial will be in Germany. Arrangements are
