Florence B. Dodson, 80, of Scio, NY, died Sunday, May 3,
2020 in Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville.
Born October 5, 1939, in Andover, she was the daughter of
Leonard and Maude Slocum Reisman. On
October 22, 1958, in Genesee, PA, she married Richard E. Dodson, who
predeceased her on November 1, 2014.
A graduate of Andover Central School, she devoted her life
to the care of her family. She was a
member of Genesis Bible Church in Scio and a former member of the Order of the
Eastern Star in Wellsville.
Surviving are: six
children, Donita (Don) Linza of Wellsville, Paula (Richard) Whitney of Scio,
Ortaville "Bud" (Trish) Dodson of Scio, Bryan Dodson of Scio, Roxy
(Skip) Nickerson of Scio, and Richard (Beth) Dodson of Loganton, PA; 17 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary (Donald) Waters of
Whitesville and Alicia “Dottie” Branson of Summerville, SC; nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was
predeceased by nine siblings, James K. Reisman, Ferdinand L. Reisman, Richard
Reisman, Paul Reisman, Leo Reisman, Arlene Feller, Patricia Hulse, Margaret
Peters, and Betty Questel.
Cremation was at Olney-Foust Crematory. A Memorial Service will be held in the
Genesis Bible Church in Scio on a later date. Memorials may be made to Genesis
Bible Church, 4193 SR 19 South, Belmont, NY 14813. Arrangements are under the direction of
Mulholland-Crowell Funeral Home, Wellsville.
