Machias-based Troopers on Friday arrested Jeffery J. Irvine, 37, of Cuba for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree and Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree (felony), Removing a Vehicle Identification Number (felony), and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 1st Degree (felony).
Troopers investigating a report of a disabled vehicle on Cadiz Road in the town of Franklinville determined Irvine was in possession of a stolen vehicle which had its VIN removed.
Irvine was arrested and released with appearance tickets for Franklinville Town Court, where he is due to appear in June.
