The New York State Department of Transportation today announced culvert repair and drainage enhancement work will begin the week of September 9, 2019 on State Route 54A in the
Town of Urbana.
Work is planned at five individual sites, all located between 0.5 miles and 3.5 miles north of Hammondsport. Work on the northern most site is expected to start on or about
September 9, 2019. Work will be completed working from north to south.
At each project site, two-way traffic will be reduced to one lane, under stop sign control. Motorists will encounter flagging operations as necessary. Work is expected to last
approximately six weeks.
It is imperative that motorists remember to drive carefully through the many highway and bridge construction zones they will encounter this season.
